About LIBeerGuide's Team

LIBeerGuide was launched in 2016 by Bernie Kilkelly, who has been writing about the Long Island beer scene since 1997.  Bernie first started covering Long Island for sorely missed print publications including Ale Street News, Beer & Tavern Chronicle and The Gotham Imbiber. 

Bernie now writes a monthly column for the Long Island Press in which he has profiled over 50 Long Island craft breweries.  He is an avid homebrewer and enjoys brewing and sharing brews with fellow enthusiasts.
